We are all very busy people. We’re working, going to club meetings, shopping, and driving children to events, or attending their events. While we’re hurrying around we often try to piece our lives together. We sense an inward emptiness and hurriedness.
Jesus Christ is the one who fills this inward emptiness and gives us direction. Here at Gordo First United Methodist Church we’re seeking to help people discover for themselves how Jesus Christ can meet their personal needs.
Variety
We give you the choice of two Sunday morning worship services.We have a vibrant contemporary worship service at 8:50 A.M. The dress is casual, the music is contemporary (soft rock and roll) and we use videos and computers to communicate the gospel. We have an upbeat traditional worship service at 11 A.M.where we use traditional creeds and responses accompanied by organ music.
Sunday School is at 10 A.M. each Sunday and a nursery is provided during the Sunday School time and for all services.

We offer vibrant worship, encouraging educational opportunities, recreation and fellowship. We have activities for children, youth, and adults, both for the Christian and those seeking more information about the Christian life.
We’re seeking to create a place of integrity, compassion, and authenticity that comes out of a relationship with Jesus Christ.
