Hi,
What's Happening at Gordo First United Methodist Church? We are still filled with excitement here at First Church. We are staring a new year. 2010 has come in with a bang, and we really want it to count for the Lord.! January has seen the church take a look at our fiscal responsibilities with a sermon series on Financial Resposibilities and Blessings. In February we will celebrate "Re-discover the Love" month at the church. Sunday Mornings we will experience celebratory worship as we are called upon to rediscover our love for God, our families, our church, and our neighbors.
Each Sunday night there is a special emphasis on Family fun and relationship building. February 7th we will have Super-Bowl Sunday with Soups and Sandwiches served in the FLC Fellowship Hall as our church family enjoys the Super Bowl. February 14th we will celebrate Romance with our annual Valentine's Banquet and Play. On February 21st we enjoy the Contemporary Southern Gospel Sounds of Trinity. Finally, on February 28th we will experience the Sunday Night at the Movies with; FIREPROOF. We will enjoy Pop Corn and Colas as we gather as families for this event!
