After spending 15 years in the residential construction business I heard God’s call to come and help build His Kingdom one house at a time. For the past 19 years this has been my passion. I have literally helped rebuild houses through disaster response and build houses through Habitat for Humanity. I have worked at building God’s kingdom through the pastoral ministry of the United Methodist Church. Through all of this I have encountered people who have enriched my life and people whose life needed enriching. I have witnessed the transforming power of God and helped transform people’s life from despair to hope. I hope that in some measure I have spread God’s love like a four year-old spreads peanut butter.
I have been married to Kim for 34 years and we have six wonderful children (three of ours and three of their choosing), and four absolutely fantastic grandchildren.
It is truly an honor and joy to serve God through pastoring churches preaching and teaching His Word and when needed responding to go and care for those in need.
I have lived in the great little town of Gordo, AL since 2010 with my husband and three children. I stay busy by substitute teaching, volunteering for just about anything, and taking my children to various practices and games. I have a heart for helping which makes for a busy but happy life.
Since January 2017 I have had the privilege of working alongside some wonderful people while ministering to the children of Gordo First Methodist. I consider it a blessing to watch children at various ages and stages grow in their relationship with Christ. I strive to teach them the never-ending love of Jesus through bible stories, music, and lots of fun!
The future of Gordo First Methodist is looking bright, and I am proud to be a part of it all for the glory of our God.
